Accessibility Statement

1. Conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG defines requirements for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological.

This is a self-assessed target. We have not yet completed a third-party audit, and full conformance across every page and interactive tool is a work in progress.

2. Current practices

• Every page begins with a "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users.
• Interactive controls (buttons, links, form fields) have visible focus indicators.
• Icon-only buttons include text alternatives for screen readers.
• Text and interactive elements are designed to meet AA color contrast ratios against their background.
• Page structure uses semantic HTML (headings, lists, landmarks, labels) so assistive technology can navigate meaningfully.
• Motion effects respect the operating system's prefers-reduced-motion setting.
• Layouts adapt down to 320 CSS pixels of width without horizontal scrolling.
• Forms include labels, required field indicators, and inline error messages that are announced to screen readers.
• Images that convey information include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked so screen readers can skip them.

3. Known limitations

The following areas are under active review and may not yet meet the WCAG 2.2 AA target in every scenario. We are working to improve them:

• The Ad Preview Studio is a visual editor. Some preview interactions may be difficult to operate with a screen reader alone. Concept previews can still be described to us by email and produced on your behalf.
• The Reservation Wizard is a multi-step form. Some progress indicators and validation summaries are still being refined for screen reader announcements.
• The local directory currently loads filtered results without a full page reload. Focus management on filter changes is still being refined.

4. Third party content

Some parts of the site rely on third parties, such as the Cloudflare Turnstile human-verification widget and links to advertiser websites. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content, but if a specific third-party component is blocking you we want to know so we can work around it.

5. Alternative ways to reach us

If any part of the site is difficult to use, you can reach a real person and complete your request another way. Email hello@vegasneighborhoodmail.com. We will respond within two business days. You do not need to complete any online form to become an advertiser, save an offer, or ask a question about a listing.

6. Reporting a barrier

Please tell us if you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site. Include:

• the page URL where the problem occurred;
• a short description of the problem;
• the assistive technology, browser, and device you were using, if you know.

Send reports to hello@vegasneighborhoodmail.com. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to describe our planned fix within ten business days.

7. Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. As we add features to the site (new directory tools, additional neighborhoods, advertiser dashboards) we test against WCAG 2.2 AA and use feedback from real users to improve.
